Garden Day

Today was a special garden day. Our school had volunteers come out to teach us about making healthy choices for our bodies and using the garden.

Room 109 students closed their eyes to try different kinds of fruits and vegetables. We learned how each fruit or vegetable helps to keep our bodies healthy.
We learned about different exercises we could do to keep our bodies healthy.
We also went on a scavenger hunt to learn what our school garden has to offer us. We observed some interesting things in the garden!

JA in a Day

Todsy was JA in a Day. On this special day members of Junior Achievement came in and taught us about communities. Our volunteers were employees from Commerce Bank. We learned about what families look like, and what places are in our neighborhoods. We compared wants versus needs and we learned about community occupations. Our volunteers even gave us goody bags at the end of the day!

Principal's Day

Last week we celebrated Principal's Day. The students made beautiful cards for our principal. I had a lot of fun reading the creative comments room 109 students made.

Storytelling Festival

On Friday we walked to the public library to enjoy the tales of a storyteller. The weather was perfect and the stories were a lot of fun!
