Using Fingers to Plan

Room 109 has been studying informational texts and we will soon be immersing ourselves into the writing process. The students were practicing making a plan of what to include related to their topic. They began by thinking of a topic and then counting out the details they would want to include.

Fall Party

Composting

Room 109 has started composting! We learned what types of foods can go in the compost and we studied examples of compost. We collected five pounds of compostable scraps from the cafeteria. It was mostly apple cores. There was also orange and banana peels. We put the scraps in the post bin and covered it with leaves.
