Read Read Read

Room 109 students find interesting places to build their stamina. 



Air Bubbles

The second time we visited science lab, room 109 discovered that we could capture air in vials. We investigated capturing the air and releasing air bubbles in the water.




Monarch Catterpillars

Room 109 has three monarch caterpillars. Our buddies have been busy munching away on milkweed. This photo shows one of the caterpillars making the j-formation in preparation of it's chrysalis.
 

Checking for Understanding

Room 109 is learning how to check help their reading buddies check for understanding. Checking for understanding (asking who and what) helps us remember and comprehend what we have read. 





Investigating Air

On our first week of science lab, room 109 scientists discovered that air can move things and air can take up space. 




Finding Good-fit Books

Room 109 discovered how finding "good-fit" books can be similar to finding a "good-fit" shoe. 




Building Reading Stamina

Room 109 started working on building their reading stamina. 





Getting to Know Each Other

On the first days of school, room 109 began learning what we have in common. We played the game Find Someone Who to become better acquainted with each other.
